RED - side by side is part of the PRISMA trilogy in coproduction with Pôle Danse des Ardennes.
There is a space, lifeless, and a troubled atmosphere. There is this moment, but there is no clock, no time. There are four beings, four entities, that move, that sound. They emerge through this void in a trail of ruins, and slowly, stumbling, draw their way to an existence they could experience together.
RED hints at its power through its radical ambivalence. what forces does it set into play in the social and political field ? In visceral intimacy ? What place does it have in our intellectual consciousness, and in our personal and collective unconsciousness ?The color Red seems to call us to confront our limits, our desires, and the relations they entertain. Thus, RED will be about our places as living bodies, from the birth of the cell to the construction of the collective. It will do so through explosion, collision, friction ; through sensation, burning, fluttering. This show in creation is set on the meeting edges, in a place of liminal states. RED is an initial attempt to expand our ideas of togetherness and struggle . In this experimentation, the color is a burst of energy, an impetus that paints our ruins with a transcendental desire for life and community.
